Cezayir tassili n'ajjer Kaya Resim Sanatı

This dog is over 10,000 years old – that’s 70,000 in dog years!
The photograph shows a piece of in-situ rock art from a renowned site in Algeria called Tassili n’Ajjer, meaning ‘plateau of chasms’. More than 15,000 rock paintings and engravings have been found in this region dating back up to 12,000 years.
The dog was probably the first animal species to have been domesticated, but exactly when this took place remains uncertain. 14,200-year-old dog bones were found buried next to humans in western Europe, but some scientists think dogs could have been domesticated closer to 40,000 years ago.
